Melbourne wide redecoration work has started on a
$250 million project to renovate the interior of nine Qantas Boeing
747-400 aircrafts, with Air Bus 380 style seats, in-flight entertainment
units and accessories. Qantas group’s five year
program to build an ultra-modern, customer focused and competitive
global airline business is in first phase of refurbishment.
“The new interiors will vastly improve the flying experience for ten thousands of Qantas passengers every year with luxurious and comfortable array of services”. Mr. Joyce Qantas CEO said.
Installing A380 shape interiors on Boeing aircrafts will enable further entertainment and space, moreover unique style of flying with Qantas will allow passengers access to more destinations with premium flying experience. Each aircraft will be fitted with sum of 364 seats, 58 Business, 36 Premium Economy and 270 Economy. The seats in all three cabins have won award for comfort and matchless design.
